3 Long days

Mike and I have both had 4 pretty long days. He as worked every night late and already has 51 hours on the books. He is still working Friday and Saturday. He likes his job still...so that is good, and we could really use the money for our new house.

I am excited, I have a three day weekend. Tomorrow, I have a few errands to run and alittle shopping to do. So that should be fun. I am also going to try to go to the grasshopper shop in downtown Bangor. Its a store that Holly recommends. Hopefully Mike gets out of work earlier than the rest of this week so we can actually see each other. Mike is usually asleep when I get home.

Well, I should get some pictures up tomorrow.

A nice Weekend!

This weekend we went to RI. It was nice to be back at our house and sleep in our own bed, but it was strange. The house really is not our own any more. I have cleaned up most of the personal effects and we have to keep the house so neat.

We got to see lots of friends and family so that was nice. We also ate chicken salad sandwiches, went out for breakfast and I cut Mike's hair. It was a long drive but it was nice to get out of our hotel room.

Today, I only had to work until 6 so I came home and cooked a couple of meals. We had steak and mashed potatoes for dinner. I also make pork and chicken for the rest of the week.

Well, I am exhausted....so goodnight.

Mike is officially in Bangor!

Mike is officially in Bangor. Thank goodness!!!! No more 150 mile trips a day especially with the price of gas. He was going to start Monday in Bangor but they asked him to start today. I was going to drive him to work, then go to Auburn, pick him up from work and then drive to RI but I am not sure what we are going to do now. We shall see. Mike went the other day to meet everyone in Bangor and I think that he will like it.

Its funny, I feel like I worked a hundred days in a row but now I have 5 days off. Its because of the red sox game. So today I am going to go to the Lumbar yard today. I think that we are officially building on the land, so I need to go choose siding etc.

We still have not signed the contract but I am hopeful that it will be soon.

Talk to you on Sunday!

Fenway Park!!!

hi All,

Its been a few days since I posted but I had a good reason. My mom and I went to Fenway Park for a Red Sox Game!!!!!!

It was awesome, I met my mom in Auburn on Wed morning after taking my grandmother to a doctors appointment and getting a hair cut. We had a hotel room outside of Boston for the night.
We took the T to Fenway Park. Fenway, was awesome, I had never been there before. I had never even driven by it. The park was smaller than I pictured but it was awesome. We actually sat next to people from Maine!!!

It was very cool. I was bummed that we did not get to see Big Papi play (he became a US citizen on Wednesday) and Josh Beckett but atleast Jason Varitek hit a 3 run home run and then Mike Lowell hit a solo home run. We did get to see Jonathan Paplebon come onto the field and throw one out, in four pitches I might add!!!

I felt bad for Mike though. We had originally had planed to go together but Mike could not get out of work. He was supposed to be on vacation this week.

Well, that was my red sox game. I plan on going again. Cristin, these games are addicting!

Love
Kris and Mike!

PS I will post pictures as soon as I get a usb cord.

Its been a couple of days...

Hi All,

Its been a couple of days since our last post but we have been doing well.

Mike took a couple of pictures of our proposed land so I should have them up here soon. Yesterday, Mike got to play with his little truck and apparently had his spectators in the parking lot. He went and played with it in the Bangor Mall parking lot.

Yesterday, we went to the grocery store and bought lots of stuff to make meals. Tonight I cooked a couple of meals in my hotel today. I made spagetti and meatballs, chicken and pork chops. We are eating the pork chops tonight.

On Saturday night, we went to downtown Bangor and ate at this pub. It was recommended by my tech. There are like 3 restaurants all in the same area and they had a band playing in the street. We ate there, and are going to try the other two in the coming weeks.

Work is good, Mike still had to go to Belgrade for another week. Then he will be in Bangor. He cant wait especially with the price of gas. I told him, welcome to my world!!!! My work has been good. I worked the weekend and 9-5 today.

So all and all, things have been good.

Don't worry, I'll keep you posted.

And I quote "I had a good day."

Hi All,

Today Mike actually said, "I had a good day." So, I think that is a really good sign.
He had forklift training today. As you know, Mike was on a forklift truck in RI, so that training is useless. But anyway, he was also rode on a Forklift truck at the end of the day for some deliveries. So, things are definitely getting better.

I worked today from 9 to 9 and it was slower today. We only did 70 scripts and I have to work the weekend....yuck

Hi Everyone,

We both had good days today. Work is busy but not crazy. We did 85, just enough to not notice the time go by but I still had time to spend with each guest.

Mike, was in a different truck today and is getting used the new job and the new way of doing thing.

Not much else is going on. Tomorrow I am going to Auburn to do Laundry and cook some food.

Talk to you soon
Kris:)

Hammond Lumber...Day 2

Today was a better day for Mike. Although he was wearing pants, he was in a truck. No classroom for him and that made things nicer. He is still reserving his judgment. I think that it will be easier when he gets into to a truck in Bangor and a routine.

Our hotel is still good. We got cookies today. They put them out every day at 7pm. I was actually here for that today! I only had to work until 5 pm. I went to the grocery store and then came home and cooked dinner. Not too bad if you ask me. Work is 2 minutes away and the grocery store is even closer.

Well, that is all for now.

Bad News!!!!

Hi All,

Today Mike got some very bad news.....he has to wear pants to work. The man who has only worn paints like 5 times in his life, will have to wear pants to his new job!

Apparently, this is an upscale establishment!!! We are going to try and find the lightest weight pants known to man. Other than that, his first day was not too bad. He had to sit in orientation for 8 hours. He has to buy some gloves and a knife. He also has to wear an orange vest when he delivers. Dont worry I will take pictures.

My day was pretty good. I worked 9-9 and filled 105 scripts.

Well, that's all for now....

Our weekend

Hi All,

Its Sunday night and life is feeling a little more stable. We are in our hotel that we will be in for two months. Its a Hampton Inn. We shall see how it works. We have a fridge and Microwave. I brought a toaster over and electric fry pan. I definitely think that we can make do with this stuff.

We went to Auburn today to do laundry at my mom's house. It takes a full tank of gas! I was not expecting that. We offically signed the papers for our house. We will be building on Molly Lane. I personally like the name. We will have pictures of our land soon and then when it started to be built, I will definitely be updating our blog.

Mike and I both start work tomorrow. He has to drive to Belgrade for training. Its about 1 15 minutes to work but its only for two weeks. On the plus side, he has to be to work at 8 am. He would normally have to 6. I am only 2 minutes from work so I will be taking the truck and he will have my car. It gets just alittle bit better gas mileage. Well, time for me to get ready for tomorrow.

Goodnight,

Kris and Mike
